Dress Code Policy:

Aerial Classes: Form-fitting clothing. Pants should go down past the knee to avoid fabric burns. Shorts are acceptable in the warmer months, although there are inherent risks for fabric burns. We recommend bringing layers.

Clothing with zippers or buttons must be removed prior to getting in the air. All jewelry must be removed with the exception of some piercings and stud earrings. This includes wedding rings for fabric. We recommend leaving any valuable jewelry at home. Students that arrive without abiding by dress code will not be allowed to participate in class, and will not be awarded a makeup. This is especially true for our fabric classes. Please avoid long nails whenever possible. Avoid lotion and sunscreen; it will affect students ability to grip the fabric.

Dance Classes: Form-fitting clothing, barefoot or lyrical shoes.

General Studio Policies:

Students are expected to be on time, and attend classes regularly.

Parents are welcome to watch the last 10 minutes of all classes. Photos/videoing of your student is allowed. One on one time with students/instructors helps keep students focused.

No drinks other than water at the studio.

No peer-to-peer instruction for safety reasons.

In the event of illness, students will be awarded one open gym credit as a class makeup (limit 3/season, adult classes one per series class) Attendees/parents must notify the studio prior to the missed class. Open gym makeups must be used prior to the end of a season/series.

There are no refunds for class series.

Please do not send your child to the studio if they are ill.

Private lesson cancellations must be done 24 hrs in advance. If a student cancels a private lesson within a 24 hr period the studio keeps a $25 hold to cover instructor pay, and will issue a partial refund.

Drop in classes must be cancelled 24-hrs in advance to be re-credited to the account. In the rare event of injury/illness, we allow a 4-hr cancellation window. Because of our small class sizes, there is no exception to these policies.

30-days notice is required when cancelling a rec class membership.

Home Rigs Recommendation:

We generally advise against home aerial setups for safety reasons. We strongly discourage home fabric setups that exceed 10’. However, we know families are going to do it anyways, and want to keep our students as safe as possible. If you are interested in a home setup consult, please reach out to the studio. These generally take 15-30 minutes, and provide information/visual packets on safe rigging practices. Please note an additional waiver will be required, as SADC does not take responsibility for home setups. We do not give any advice on where to hang your aerial point from, just the setup and materials underneath. Any hanging point should be assessed by a structural engineer to determine whether it is supportive enough to handle dynamic loading.
